Our partners, the Kanata North Regeneration Stewards (KN Regens) have been working to remove invasive plant species in the forest since 2024. So far, KN Regens have identified over twenty-five (25) non-native ecologically harmful plant species that are rapidly invading the forest.

Using assisted natural regeneration practices, KN Regens intervene in the spread of invasive plant species to promote landscape recovery. They aim to protect and restore existing patches of remnant native flora vegetation.
